The Biology Department at the Colorado State University Pueblo provides the biological component of the liberal arts education. We promote student understanding of biological concepts relevant to the individual and society, and foster an appreciation of scientific inquiry.
Our students obtain a broad education, covering a wide variety of biological disciplines. We focus on the student; classes are small, facilitating hands-on experience, interactions with faculty, and opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate research.
We offer a full complement of competitive pre-professional programs, strong programs in environmental biology (especially regional field biology), and a quality program for biology educators.
The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Since Biology is a very diverse field, four main options are offered although these degree options are then tailored to the student based on discussions with their advisor. Degrees in the different tracts will offer a specific notation on the degree received.
