Brian Amman ('94, MS '99) is a mammalogist for the Special Pathogens
Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Covington, Georgia.
Anthony Aragon ('01, MS '01) is a Ph.D. candidate at the University
of New Mexico. He was featured in the September 2003 issue of the
US Dept. of Health & Human Services/National Institutes of Health
publication, Findings.
Trent Artichoker ('99) completed his Masters Degree in Anatomy (in 2002) at Colorado State University - Fort Collins and is now attending Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, in pursuit of his Doctors of Chiropractic degree.
Jenny Bacca ('04) is attending pharmacy school at University of
New Mexico in Albuquerque.
Leann Berry ('99) did water chemistry studies for two years before becoming a senior lab technician for the State Fish Laboratory in Brush, Colorado, where she tests fish for whirling disease.
Jake Book ('00) is working as a chemist for the Colorado Bureau
of Investigation.
Jennifer Birrer ('02) is attending the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center's Physical Therapy Program.
Mike Boswell ('96) completed medical school at Howard University and is doing his residency in internal medicine at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH.
Leeanne Carabelos ('01) is teaching science at Central High School
in Pueblo.
Lisa Cicero ('04) is attending pharmacy school at CU Health Sciences Center in Denver.
Audrey Colnar ('01) did an internship with the Smithsonian Institution's Environmental Research Center in Maryland where she assisted in research on the invasion of coastal ecosystems by non-native species. She was accepted into graduate programs at both Western Washington University and at the University of Maryland, and has completed a master's degree working with invasive species at WWU.

Fort Collins College of Veterinary Medicine.
Anna Cosyleon (Dorsch) ('95) has completed both medical school
and her residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
She and her husband Jim Dorsch ('94) have two kids.
Gabe Cosyleon ('99) received a master's degree in zoology from Oklahoma State University. He married Paige Hensen in 2005, and is working as a natural resources programs manager for the Santo Domingo Tribe in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Ryan Deleon ('93, MS '04) joined the army after completing his
undergraduate degree, and later returned to CSU-Pueblo for a master's degree.
He earned his masters while working as a prison guard in Cañon City,
Colorado. He is currently a physical scientist and forensic investigator
for the FBI at their headquarters in Quantico, Virginia.
Tiffany Doane ('04) has entered the Physician Assistant program
at the CU Health Sciences Center after completing "intensive" training
in Wisconsin in spring 2004.
Jim Dorsch ('94, MS '96) is working for the Denver Metro Wastewater Plant.
Mike Driscoll ('98) is attending Medical School at Louisiana State University Shreveport.
Beau Ellis ('92) completed an MS in Environmental Health at CSU-Fort
Collins. He is currently attending law school at George Washington
University in Washington D.C.
Robert Geahlen ('75) Professor of Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue
University, was awarded the award for Outstanding Achievement at the 2006
Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Awards Dinnner for his work with
immune cell function.
Carolyn Glaubensklee, after completing her Ph.D. at University of New Mexico and teaching for several years at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, is now teaching in the Nursing Department at CSU-Pueblo.
Gerald Glenn ('93) is a dentist in Denver, Colorado.
William Gonzales ('82) a physcian in Pueblo, Colorado at the Veterans
Administration Clinic, was awarded the 2006 Outstanding Alumnus Award.
Nacho Gutierrez completed pharmacy school at CU Health Sciences Center, and is a pharmacist at the southside Walgreen's in Pueblo.
Mark Heaston ('98, MS '05) is working in Pueblo at Earthtech doing water quality management in and around the Pueblo Depot. He and his wife Jennifer have a young daughter.
Margaret Hecht ('95) received a Dodge Grant to study alternative surgical training practices at Colorado State University - Fort Collin's College of Veterinary Medicine, where she attended veterinary school.
Shane Hess ('02) is studying for his Doctor
of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree at Des Moines University.
Paul Hurtado ('02) is currently working on his Ph.D. in applied
mathematics at Cornell University in New York.
Bonnie Hund ('97) completed a master's degree at the University
of Illinois, and is currently working for a plant biotechnology company
in Malibu, California.
Joey Irby (Mathews) ('95, MS '98) worked at Ashland Chemical for several years, and is now teaching biology at Pueblo Community College.
John Ireland ('93) is a firefighter working out of the Belmont station in Pueblo.
Liz Klein (MS '97) is working for Kiowa Engineering in Colorado Springs, where, among other things, she identifies wetland plants along the Front Range. She is also President of the SE Colorado Chapter of the Native Plant Society.

years at El Pueblo Boys and Girls Ranch, is now teaching special education
at Pueblo West Elementary School.
Kevin Meyers ('03, MS '03) has a temporary assignment with the
Fish and Wildlife Service in Reno, Nevada, where he works with endangered
or threatened species at the National Fish Hatchery, and performs creel census
and electrofishing surveys on the Truckee River.
Somer Mese ('01, MS '04) is the head of Industrial Hygiene for
Excel Energy.
Danielle McDermott (Cipolla) (MS, '02) is attending medical school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Victoria Monroe (Biology Minor, '04) is working on her master's
degree in biology at James Cook University in Australia.
Melissa Montano ('02) has been accepted into dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dentistry.

Sasha Nelson ('97) completed a postgraduate degree in Behavior at the University of La Trobe, Australia and continued on in a master's program, compiling interpretive material for Australian national parks.
Robert Novak, Ph.D. ('70) received the 2005 Alumni Achievement
Award from CSU-Pueblo for his work as a medical entomologist. Dr.
Novak is a professor and scientist at the Illinois Department of Natural
Resources, and is a AAAS Fellow.

Chuck Omdahl ('96) is a firefighter/emergency medical technician in Security, Colorado, and is training as a paramedic.
Stuart Price ('95) is a scientist at Dharmacon in Denver, Colorado.

Felicia Rodriguez ('01) completed a summer internship at the National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture, and later recieved a Chancellors Diversity Scholarship to attend Pharmacy School at the Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado.
Steve Sanchez ('88, MS '98) is working as a Rangeland Manager for the Bureau of Land Management in Sagauche, Colorado.
Jack Seilheimer, Ph.D. Professor of Biology, Past Dean of the College
of Science and Mathematics, and Past Chair of Biology, received the Honorary
Alumni Award at the 2006 Colorado State University-Pueblo Alumni Awards Dinner.
Krista Schramm (MS '99) is teaching science at Saint Dominic High
School in New York, where she lives with her young daughter. She
has received several educational grants to teach field ecology to her
students.

Kylie Setser (Wagner) ('00) works for Air Products and Chemicals
in Pueblo. She and husband, Adam Wagner ('00), are expecting their
first child.

Lonnie Smith ('04) is in the pharmacy program at CU Denver.
Ryan Smithburg completed pharmacy school at CU Health Sciences Center, and is a pharmacist in Limon, Colorado.
Melanie Spinuzzi ('02) attended the HealthOne Medical Technology Program at St. Luke's in Denver.
Kathy Spock (Dodge) ('96, MS '01) is teaching science at Pleasantview Middle School, Pueblo District 70. She also trains other teachers in outdoor science education.
Jennifer Still ('97) completed the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southwestern University, and is in practice with her husband in Cañon City, Colorado. She and her husband have one child.
Greg Styduhar ('97) completed his degree in environmental law at Creighton University in Nebraska. He is currently practicing law in Pueblo.
Traci Tafoya ('97) earned a master's degree in Sports Administration
from the University of Northern Colorado. She is teaches physical
education at Haaff Elementary in Pueblo, and has a young daughter.

received a master's degree from CSU-Fort Collins, and is on the biology faculty
of Pueblo Community College.
Glenda Torres ('03, MS '03) works
for the Bureau of Land Management as a Natural Resource Specialist in Fuels.
Marcos Unis ('02) studied verterinary
medicine at St. George's University in Granada, West Indies. In the
aftermath of Hurricane Ivan, Marcos relocated temporarily to Purdue University
(one of several U.S. institutions affiliated with St. George's). He was
awarded the Fort Dodge Animal Health Award for Excellence in Small Animal
Surgery from St. George's University, and is currently doing his residency
at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina..
Adam Wagner (Biology Minor '00) is married to Kylie Setser ('00), and works as a recreational therapist at the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo.

Gary Wermers (Elementary
Certification '94) teaches science at Heaton Middle School in Pueblo. He
and his wife Kendra ('99) have a young son.
(James) Thumper Womack ('01) was accepted to both the Oklahoma State University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. He is currently pursuing his M.D. degree at OU, working towards becoming an orthopedic surgeon.
