Mission
Statement of CSU-Pueblo Crime Lab
The CSU-Pueblo Crime Lab was developed to provide
needed casework that is either not currently offered to local and state
agencies or is currently part of an overburdened forensic analysis
system. These analyses will be offered at no charge to any law
enforcement agency within the confines of the State of Colorado. As time and funding permits, these areas of forensic analysis
will be expanded.
In addition to the forensic analysis, the Center was
also created to address the training needs
of both the local law enforcement community as well as those at the
national level. The Training Center will strive to provide the
most current and up to date training available in various areas. The
Training Center will target both law enforcement training needs such as
basic crime scene response as well as those of a more specific nature
such as weapons of mass destruction response. Additionally, the Training
Center shall provide structured
training to forensic laboratory personnel through various types of
laboratory analysis classes that will
be offered.
We welcome your input as to future casework areas as
well as your specific training needs and requests. You are always
welcome to contact someone at the Center to discuss your needs and/or
requests. You may contact us at (719) 549-2568 or fill-out the comment
form found in the feedback section below.
Goodbye and have a good day.
