Student/Instructor Research Opportunities

The chemistry department believes research is an integral part of teaching science and strongly encourages undergraduate students to get involved in research with a faculty member. Although research credit is not required for the degree due to state-imposed credit hour limits, a majority of chemistry majors undertake a research project at some point during their education at CSU-Pueblo. The department provides a number of opportunities for this including:

  • A summer Undergraduate Research Program that provides support for research

  • Individual faculty grants that support students

  • Course credit for research

  • Research work/study positions

  • Internship opportunities with a variety of companies
